Research Scientist/ Engineer: Nanofabrication

This position is within our devices group that develops INanoBio’s semiconductor sensor platforms for various healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, fabrication, characterization and testing of semiconductor devices
  • Design, fabrication and procurement of microfluidics and associated systems
  • Implementation and characterization of molecular mono-layers on solid surfaces
  • Work with internal process engineers, vendors, semiconductor foundry partners and external experts to successfully resolve issues
  • Perform root cause analysis, prepare reports and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in electrical engineering, materials engineering, physics or related fields
  • Expertise in semiconductor nanofabrication: use of tools and processes in semiconductor cleanrooms, microfluidics and surface chemistry
  • Experience with imaging and characterization TEM, SEM, FIB, EDX, ion beam, X ray spectroscopies
  • Experience with biosensors is a plus
  • Strong publication history

This position is within our devices group that develops INanoBio’s semiconductor sensor platforms for various healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve analysis, characterization, and test procedures of semiconductor materials and devices
  • Design, build, optimize, and validate custom data acquisition systems for multiplexed ultra-low current measurement of a large array of sensors
  • Work on data collection and analysis using statistical software
  • Work with internal process engineers, semiconductor foundry partners and external experts to successfully resolve issues
  • Work with external vendors for development of custom testing and characterization solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis, prepare reports and presentations

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in electrical engineering
  • Experience with Fully depleted FETs or FinFETs or nanowire transistor nano-fabrication
  • Required CMOS Electrical characterization expertise: C-V and I-V measurements and analysis, DLTS, resistivity and mobility characterization methods
  • Desired materials characterization experience: SEM, FIB, EDX, Auger, XPS, ion beam, X ray spectroscopies, TEM
  • CMOS device simulation experience desired but not required
  • Strong CMOS device physics fundamentals
  • Strong publication history
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
