Director of Device Development

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Menlo Park, CA

We are looking for an outcome focused executive leader and decision maker accountable for the overall delivery of products to full production. Should be able to take ownership of all aspects of the program: design, simulation, manufacturing, testing, packaging and system integration. Has a strong technology focus and can support with product trade-off decisions. Provide mature leadership; anticipating problems, developing options and driving execution to achieve desired results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead INanoBio’s semiconductor device development program for various markets including genome sequencing, drug discovery and in-vitro diagnostics
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the device team for the semiconductor device design and fabrication
  • Lead resolution of semiconductor process issues and improve yield
  • Actively interact and manage relationship with semiconductor foundry partners, vendors, external experts and consultants
  • Deep dive into all aspects of the program for prompt and effective resolution
  • Work with senior management to develop product roadmap and business plans
  • Drive effective decision-making within the organization in collaboration with management, external partners and scientific advisors.

Requirements

  • PhD in electrical engineering, physics or related fields
  • At least 10 years of proven industry experience in product development and commercialization expertise in CMOS or memory technologies
  • Strong background in CMOS device physics and semiconductor processing
  • Circuit design, ASIC, systems on chip (SOC) integration expertise
  • Experience with CMOS or memory manufacturing below 90 nm node
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with an ability to perform issue root cause analysis in a highly dynamic environment
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Light business travel within the United States

CMOS Device and Circuit engineer

Job Type: Full-time

This position is within our devices group that develops INanoBio’s semiconductor sensor platforms for various healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Circuit design, systems on chip (SOC) design, ASIC design and semiconductor packaging
  • Work with internal process engineers, vendors, semiconductor foundry partners and external experts to successfully design and implement innovative products
  • Perform root cause analysis, prepare reports and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in electrical engineering or related fields
  • At least 5 years of circuit design experience Strong low-current analog circuit design expertise
  • Strong CMOS device physics fundamentals
  • Device, circuit simulation expertise
  • Proven publication history
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Post doctoral Fellow: Molecular Biology

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Tempe, AZ

INanoBio has an opening for postdoctoral researcher with strong experimental background in molecular biology, biochemistry and clinical research. Prior experience with cell based and cell free in-vitro assays, enzyme functional assays, clinical biomarker discovery studies, protein synthesis, transcriptomic analysis is desired.

Post-Doctoral Fellow: Device characterization

  • Develop, implement, and improve analysis, characterization, and test procedures of semiconductor materials and devices
  • Work with internal process engineers, semiconductor foundry partners and external experts to successfully resolve issues
  • Work with external vendors for development of custom testing and characterization solutions
  • Perform root cause analysis, prepare reports and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in electrical engineering, materials engineering or semiconductor physics
  • Experience with Fully depleted FETs or FinFETs or nanowire transistor nano-fabrication
  • Required CMOS Electrical characterization expertise: C-V and I-V measurements and analysis, DLTS, resistivity and mobility characterization methods
  • Desired materials characterization experience: SEM, FIB, EDX, Auger, XPS, ion beam, X ray spectroscopies, TEM
  • CMOS device simulation experience desired but not required
  • Strong CMOS device physics fundamentals
  • Strong publication history
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Perform root cause analysis, prepare reports and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in electrical engineering, materials engineering, physics or related fields
  • Expertise in semiconductor nanofabrication: use of tools and processes in semiconductor cleanrooms, microfluidics and surface chemistry
  • Experience with imaging and characterization TEM, SEM, FIB, EDX, ion beam, X ray spectroscopies
  • Experience with biosensors is a plus
  • Strong publication history
